Acupuncture Services & Programs

The services I offer in my Acupuncture and Natural Fertility practice fall into six broad categories.

---------------

The First Consultation

Your first consultation is the longest.  Before you come, I'll e-mail you a very detailed pre-conception questionnaire which will ask lots of questions about your journey to date, any known gynaecological problems and will include a series or questions about your menstrual cycle. Throughout your first consultation we'll go through those questions and I'll marry up your observations with your observations to some other general health questions I'll ask you and start developing a treatment plan which helps regulate your menstrual cycle, hormones and addresses any gynaecological problems which might be complicating your ability to conceive naturally.

Follow-up Consultations

Follow-up consultations range between 45 minutes and 1 hour - depending on what we need to accomplish in that time, but mostly the follow-up session is 45 minutes.  During this consultation I'll seek updated information from you regarding a range of parameters, all of which will help me fine-tune the herbs or acupuncture treatment I'm giving you in that session.  Sometimes I may ask you to check in with my by phone or e-mail just to keep me updated on any changes - especially at crucial times in your cycle.

Herbal Medicines

The herbal medicines I use in my practice are either granulated extracts of the raw herbs, granulated capsules or small pills.  All herbs are manufactured in China, but under Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration regulations.  TGA representatives regularly inspect production facilities to ensure top compliance.

You will never have to boil a concoction of sticks and twigs.  The herbs I use are designed for their ease of use - and they won't stink your house out either.

Chinese herbal medicine, like acupuncture, is safe when administered by a qualified (and experienced) practitioner.  I am a member of the Australian Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Association which means my level of education has met this association's high standards for membership.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture sessions are administered regularly to assist with the fine-tuning of your menstrual cycle.  Acupuncture addresses some areas of your treatment plan, while herbal medicines address other areas.  I will explain to you in your consultation how I am using acupuncture and herbal medicine to fully complement each other.
